Core is extruded from low-volatile grade, platinum-cured silicone produced in a certified Class 1000 clean room for critical pharmaceutical, biomedical, food, beverage, and cosmetic applications. It is then slipped onto a mandrel and wrapped with polyester mesh fabric, 316 stainless steel reinforcing wire, and additional silicone. It is then cured into a homogeneous tubing to enhance its capability of handling elevated pressure and vacuum applications. Tubing is crush and kink resistant and resists temperature extremes, chemical attack, ozone, radiation, moisture, and environmental exposure. Wrapped in clear polyethylene at manufacture for cleanliness. Imparts no taste or odor to critical stream and the core is made of NSF 51 listed material. Sterilzable by Autoclave, Gamma Radiation, SIP, and CIP processes.

Tubing has undergone extensive physical, chemical, and biological testing and meets USP Class VI, FDA CFR 177.2600, ISO 10993, European Pharmacopoeia 3.1.9. and 3A standards. Certified free of animal-derived ingredients. Durometer hardness: Shore A, 70. General temperature range: -100°F (-73.3°C to 400°F (204.4°C. Rated for full vacuum applications (29.9 in. Hg).
