The PCV combined centrifuge-vortex mixers are designed for applications requiring spinning and mixing of microtubes and 0.2 mL strips. Two compact models are available, each having two interchangeable rotors for accommodating 1.5, 0.5 and 0.2 mL microtubes. The PCV-2400 Combi-spin can be used for vortex mixing of an individual tube while also spinning multiple tubes. This model is suitable for low sample volumes. The high-performance PVC-3000 Multi-spin enables consecutive spin and mix phases of multiple tubes. Rotor speeds range from 1000 to 3500rpm, and the programmable unit can set the spin speed, mixing level and a timer setting for each. The spin and mix operations can also be linked. This model has easy-to-use touch sensitive keys with a two-line display screen, and is very quiet to operate. Both models have an ambient operating temperature range of 4-45°C. A selection of rotor options is available. The mixers are particularly applicable to sample preparation prior to PCR reactions, gel electrophoresis and enzyme reactions.
